Amicus Wealth Management: 7IM Private Client business merged with Amicus Wealth
Careers
There are jobs, and then there are careers.
Amicus is an adviser led wealth firm based in the City of London, built on long-term relationships, integrity and a strong commitment to doing the right thing for our clients. We support our clients through some of life’s most important decisions, providing thoughtful, trusted advice over the long term.
As part of the 7IM Group, we combine the feel of a growing, close-knit business with the backing, stability and opportunity of a wider investment organisation. This means our people benefit from a supportive environment where professionalism matters, collaboration is encouraged, and development is taken seriously.
Whether you’re starting out in your career or bringing established experience, we look for people who are client-focused, curious and motivated to grow. In return, we offer flexibility where possible, opportunities to develop your skills, and exposure to a broader investment and wealth management platform.
Looking to take your career to the next level by designing and delivering bespoke financial solutions for your clients? Then choose to work with us as a financial adviser.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
Brilliantly different
Many people in our profession feel there has to be a better way to support clients — and they’re right. It’s the belief our founders shared, and it’s still what drives us today: delivering advice with clarity, care and a genuine focus on what matters to people.
Our growth has been shaped by experienced individuals who wanted a culture that feels modern, human and purposeful. People who want to do great work without the corporate noise. People who want to be part of something that actually feels different.
As we continue to grow, we’re looking for talented professionals who bring strong technical expertise and a real commitment to exceptional client service.
In return, we offer:
At Amicus we aim to constantly to provide every individual working with us with the very best support and actively encourage you to develop your skills, and to become more knowledgeable in all aspects of financial planning.
We know how much difference the right work environment can make. A place where you’re surrounded by ambitious, positive people who support and inspire you every day. Where you can do work you’re proud of, while also enjoying time together — from social events that strengthen team bonds to opportunities that broaden your professional network.
Our vision is to deliver the best experience for our clients and advisers. We lead the way in digital onboarding, client-led portals and automated reporting — and we keep adopting new technology where it genuinely adds value. All so you can spend more time with clients, and less time on admin.
Why choose us?
Whether you’re starting out or looking to move up in your career, there are plenty of reasons to come and work for Amicus.
Hybrid and flexible working
Our hybrid working culture means all staff can embrace a work–life balance, providing the flexibility to collaborate in the office or focus from home in a way that suits your role. Office attendance expectations vary depending on the requirements of each role. We also offer people a range of more formal flexible working options to suit their needs.
Pension contributions
All staff have the option to pay into their pension via a salary exchange scheme.
Training and qualifications
After a probation period, all staff get access to a range of online training and opportunities to study for professional qualifications that support their role. We also offer ongoing informal learning sessions throughout the year to help you continue developing your skills and knowledge.
Enhanced parental leave
This covers all new parents – including adoption, maternity, paternity and shared parental leave. Anyone with at least one year’s service is entitled to 26 weeks of maternity leave at full pay, followed by 13 weeks of Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP). Paternity leave is available to all staff with no service requirement and is paid at three weeks’ full pay.
Discretionary bonus
We reward exceptional performance and strong contributions to the business. Staff who have passed probation are eligible for our annual discretionary bonus, dependent on Amicus and individual performance.
Annual leave
The annual leave year runs from January to December. Annual leave entitlement varies by length of service, and typically ranges between 22 and 27 days, plus UK bank holidays, as set out in individual contracts. Entitlement is pro-rated for part-year service and part-time working where applicable.
Other financial benefits
We review our salaries annually to ensure they remain fair and aligned with market conditions. Pay outcomes may vary depending on role, level, and business area, and can include inflationary adjustments or increases that reflect experience, responsibilities, and overall contribution. This approach helps us maintain consistency while recognising the value each employee brings to their role. In addition to base salary, some roles may have the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus, linked to business and individual performance.
We offer a range of health and wellbeing benefits across the organisation, designed to support you in maintaining your physical and mental wellbeing.
Staff absent from work for 13 weeks continuously can claim under our income protection policy, which a proportion of the individual’s salary until they return to work, or a maximum of 5 years.
If a member of staff dies, their nominated beneficiary will receive a lump-sum payment equal to four times their salary.
We offer Give As You Earn, making it easy to give regularly – and tax-effectively – to any UK charity of your choice, directly through your pay.
Health and wellbeing benefits
Everyone at Amicus has access to a confidential 24/7 helpline for support and guidance covering any personal or work-related issues.
We’ll contribute up to £25 each year towards a standard eye test for all staff, and a further £50 towards glasses needed for VDU use.
Each colleague can take one full day, or two half days, of volunteer leave each year to support local, national or international community organisations. You can use this time individually or join with your team to make a collective impact.
We offer fertility leave to give colleagues the time and flexibility they need when undergoing fertility treatment. We also recognise the emotional impact of miscarriage and stillbirth, which is why we provide one week of fully paid leave for both partners in the sad event of a loss before the 24th week of pregnancy.
